Tim Keating Photography

      Tim Keating is a Professor of Photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA. He teaches advertising photography, fashion photography and studio lighting courses and serves on graduate committees and has taught in LaCoste, France..

       He is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design, B.F.A. 1978 and received his M.F.A. in 1982 from the University of California at Los Angeles.  He has been an Assistant Professor of Art at Florida State University , Oberlin College, The International Center of Photography in New York and at The State University of New York, Westchester Art Workshop and The Fashion Institute of Technology, NY.

       His work has been sold to collections and used for book covers, album covers and book illustrations.  Photographs and videos have been exhibited in over 60 museums and galleries including the Wurkstatt fur Fotographie in Berlin, Germany and The International Center of Photography in New York, The Columbus Museum of Art, The Santa Barbara Museum of Art, The Los Angeles Art Association Gallery and The Cleveland Museum Art.

       He worked as a commercial photographer In New York for clients such as McGraw-Hill,  Soloman Smith Barney,  JT Magen, Inc., Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Random House Inc., and Bertelsmann AG among others.  His work has been widely published and he is the recipient of numerous awards including an Individual Artist Grant from the State of Ohio for Photography and a Presidential Travel Grant Award to South Korea.
